Sky Remote - Slingbox type addon
So my parents live in spain and have been using an IPTV service out there to watch English TV and they're not keen on it. So I thought to myself why not try and make a SlingBox type of addon so they can pass Sky from this country over to their TV and use Kodi as the interface. First off, I'm presuming this is all legal (or at least grey?) as Slingbox have been doing it for ages, right? I'm sure there may be easier ways of doing it as well, I'm guessing put it on TVHeaded and usea IR blaster over the internet or something, but my parents aren't tech savy at all, so installing an addon is the easiest way I can think for them to do this.
Requires a bit of hardware to get it all working, currently using my old Hauppauge PVR to get the signal and a cheap £50 mini Windows 10 machine to handle the streaming, wrote a script to talk to the sky box so that kodi keyboard/remote controls are passed to the Sky box so you can navigate through the menus and then port forwarding on your router for external access.
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in this, if so I'll upload, I'd imagine it's fairly limited in use as you would need Sky and the couple bits of hardware to stream.
Still in the very early stages, debating whether to add menus to allow to jump to a channel outside of the Sky interface... but don't know if it's worth it. Any thoughts?
Also, managed to get a Hauppauge HD Pro 60 on sale for £30, so will at some point have a look at streaming from the HDMI socket, anyone had any luck with something like this, HDCP seems to be an issue here.

USTV Now issues
Hello, Since the loss of Covenant I'm finding that the vast majority of what I was watching is no longer available. I upgraded from an older version of Kodi and installation of programs is very different. The person I purchased the Box from has not been particularly helpful and I'm finding the technology to be complicated, certainly not user friendly. I did finally manage to install Kodi's new version, and I've managed to install some add-ons. Of course those that were recommended by an article I read did not exist and the repos he referred to seem to have all disappeared. So I went through every single add on and looked it up online to get a sense of what was available (a tedious process to say the least not to mention time consuming).
The most promising add on to meet my television viewing interests is USTV Now. So I installed it using the trusty Kodi program and received a message indicating I needed to set up an account at their website. No problem, I did that. Of course, it still didn't work. Keep getting error messages that my credentials are no good. So I emailed USTV Now, and they indicated that they aren't compatible with Kodi (why have it as an add on if it isn't compatible) and then sent me a link for a forum here that did not address in any way my particular problem.
So here I sit with a device that at this point is now pretty useless for what I purchased it for and it's falling short of the hype. I've got friends and family who are all feeling similarly though they have not made the effort I have to get it working. Frustrated beyond measure I am here with the hope that someone who can translate instructions into everyday English and tell me what I need to do to be happy with the device again. In particular, why am I being told my credentials don't work, how do I get this magical password and username that the proprieters of the add on seem not to have?
Any recommendation?

I can't change channels on my m3u playlist when I'm in full screen mode using UP & DOWN key on my keyboard.
It's work with IPTV Simpl client but I don't want to use it (too long switch between channels...)

What is your take on Covenant Addon ?
I just encountered this thread here on reddit for covenant kodi addon. From the stand point I see it is working fine and I dont know if it is a fork of Covenant or the original covenant. What is your take on the addon and the back lash it faced and how other developers have taken over it.

The Google Drive add-on for KODI is officially in Kodi Addon Repository
- Unlimited accounts
- Playback your music and videos. Listing of videos with thumbnails.

How to add an account?

2. The source path for OneDrive addon is: http://localhost:8585/source/. If you want/need to change the port number, you can do so within the addon settings.

Youtube Sound issue

I have a weird sound issue with Youtube. I am using Isengard with OpenELEC and have my Box connected to the TV via HDMI Cable. The sound system is connected via 3,5 mm jack on the TV backside. If i play videos on youtube it sometimes happens that no sound is coming. Then i start the video again and the sound is there. Other Add-On's like the built-in Music- or Videoplayer have no problem. I can start a Radiostream or watch Videos from several Add-On's with no issue. Just Youtube is fu*** around the whole time![Big Grin]( "Big Grin")
The issue came as i changed my soundsystem. But i dont get why?! Cause i just changed from a Logitech 2.1 system to a Logitech 5.1 system (but with only 3 boxes plugged in). I guess it is a passtrough issue. If i deactivate and reactivate the passtrough mode in settings while playing a video with no sound, then suddenly the sound comes.
Maybe someone have similar issues... thanks in advance! greetings

Extended Mod Info
I am trying to find out what the latest working version of Extended Mod Info is and what the version number is. I saw some youtube video the other day and they said to get 5.6.1, I didn't have a chance to write it down and now I cannot find the video. I know that 5.6.0 does not work correctly. I have been using 5.0.4 but it doesn't have the option to input trakt credentials.

I am using a RPi for some time now and I was using the 'Uitzending gemist (NPO)' add-on for some time.
Since a while, it's not working anymore because of the 'not local ip' issue but when I go the different NPO websites with the same content, I can watch most of it and DL it with a desktop tool.
Any idea why it works in the browser and that DL tool on my win-desktop but not on Kodi?

fox sports go crashes kodi
can't get fox sports go to work. i am on kodi 17.6. running linux mint 18.2. i've uninstalled/installed but no luck.

If someone searching for Youstream, i made an addon. Its now Playing All streams,and Video File. (From their directory)
Its not Complete (Speed up the Plugin,Search is missing, Logo (If someone have one for me i would be happy),....)
